Ottawa – July 9, 2024 – The Canadian Centre for Ethics in Sport (CCES) congratulates Dr. Jack Taunton on his appointment as a Member of the Order of Canada. This honour recognizes Dr. Taunton’s leadership in sport and exercise medicine in Canada, and his life’s work supporting athletes, including Team Canada at international Games.
“Jack served on the CCES Board of Directors for six years during which time his valuable contributions helped shape the organization,” said Jeremy Luke, CCES president and CEO. “And I am personally grateful to have worked with him on the Vancouver 2010 Organizing Committee, where as Chief Medical Officer he provided oversight of the CCES’s implementation of the anti-doping program for that very successful major event.”
