October 25, 2024 – The Canadian Centre for Ethics in Sport (CCES) mourns the passing of Dr. Jack Taunton, world-renowned sport medicine physician and champion of sport.

(Ottawa, Ontario – February 11, 2019) – The Canadian Centre for Ethics in Sport (CCES) acknowledges the decision issued on February 8, 2019 by the International Paralympic Committee (IPC) conditionally reinstating the Russian Paralympic Committee (RPC). 

Ottawa – July 29, 2024 – The Canadian Centre for Ethics in Sport (CCES) continues to follow with concern announcements regarding drone use by Canada Soccer officials. Such activity is inconsistent with the True Sport Principles and the CCES’s belief in fair play, respect for others, and championing ethical conduct.

Ottawa – April 22, 2024 – To maintain trust in the integrity of sport, athletes and sports need to feel that everyone is on the same level playing field. Unfortunately, the recent reports regarding positive tests in China have no doubt left athletes around the world feeling that anti-doping rules haven’t been applied consistently.

(Ottawa, Ontario – December 18, 2020) – The Canadian Centre for Ethics in Sport (CCES) issued the following statement following the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) Tribunal’s finding of fact regarding the Russian Anti-Doping Agency’s (RUSADA) non-compliance with the World Anti-Doping Code (Code):
